Living the Wonder
We find in ancient traditions that a unique kind of consciousness enables us a different way of
being. This consciousness implies awakening to the wonder. This consciousness implies
awakening to the living pulsating stream of life, where nothing is static, nothing is separate, a
world of infinite wisdom that invites humans to be co-creators.
Being in the world in that way is built on minimalistic movements. Those movements can switch
us from old patterns that narrow the ever-existing potentiality to a movement of becoming that
opens a new process of wonder and revelation.
The wisdom of the ‘Sages of the heart’ on the one hand and Gendlin on the other endowed us
with language, tools, and guidance for this kind of process.
Among the things we learn:
● What does it mean to “pay attention”? What do we pay attention to? What happens
when we pay attention? What unfolds? What is the process that occurs? Why does
paying attention create a process?
● What is the sublime source of the living process of life? What are the relationships
between our consciousness, our understanding, our words, and the Wondrous of life?
How have the Kabbalist scriptures described it? How does Gendlin describe it?
● What happens to us when we are “in a situation”? What is a situation? What are the
“networks” that capture us and make the situation separate and static? What happens
when we become aware of the beat of life and of the potential emerging possibilities?
● Why does Gendlin say that there is never just ‘is’, always “is and”? How to listen to the
process that always implies a more intricate and fresh further living? How can we
participate in this implicit/enigmatic movement that “seeks a carrying forward step that
has never existed before in humanity”?
